California Assembly Could Vote on Anti-Gun Measures Soon
Contact Your Assembly Member Immediately and Urge “NO” Votes

Numerous anti-gun bills, along with an anti-hunting bill were given approval last week by the California Assembly Appropriations Committee. These bills are now eligible to be voted on by the entire California Assembly. NSSF will continue to oppose these measures, but we need you to make phone calls and write emails to your state assemblymember, asking him or her to vote “NO” when each of these bills come to the floor for a vote.

  • SB 221: would prohibit the sale of firearms and ammunition at the Cow Palace after January 1, 2020
  • SB 1100: would raise the minimum age from 18 to 21 to purchase any firearm, including rifles and shotguns
  • SB 1177: would prohibit the purchase of more than one firearm in a 30-day period with limited exceptions
  • SB 1487: would prohibit the importation, and possession in some instances, of certain, legally-taken, African species

Contact your assemblymember and respectfully urge him or her to vote “NO” on the following bills: SB 221, SB 1100, SB 1177, and SB 1487.
