Nevada Legislature Introduces Anti-Gun Bill
What You Need to Know About AB 291

On Monday, anti-gun Assemblywoman Sandra Jauregui introduced AB 291 in the Nevada State Assembly – a bill that could fundamentally transform the firearm industry and gun ownership in the Battle Born State forever.

If passed, AB 291 would ban gun customization and aftermarket parts such as standard trigger modifications and replacement triggers. It would also repeal state preemption of authority of counties, cities and towns to regulate the “transfer, sale, purchase, possession, carrying, ownership, transportation, storage, registration and licensing of firearms, ammunition and accessories.”

This invitation for towns, counties or municipalities to institute their own customized ordinances could severely diminish the Second Amendment and could ultimately lead to; assault weapon bans, magazine capacity limitations, storage requirements and prohibiting concealed carry - just to name a few.

Furthermore, this bill will do little to promote public safety and instead will place the undue burden of navigating a complex web of conflicting ordinances on both federally licensed firearms retailers and law-abiding citizens who want to exercise their 2nd amendment rights.

We need your help to defeat AB 291. Please contact your legislators and tell them to vote no on AB 291.
