Virginia Crime Commission to Consider Gun Control Proposals Next Week
Submit Your Comments Opposing Gov. Northam’s Anti-Gun Measures

The Virginia State Crime Commission is set to meet next week on Monday, August 19, and Tuesday, August 20, to discuss numerous gun control proposals, many of these measures being on Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam’s anti-gun wish list. You can submit your comments opposing these measures, or attend the August 20 meeting when the Crime Commission will accept comments from the public. For more information on the meeting dates, times, and location, please visit the Crime Commission website.

Included in Northam’s anti-gun “wish list” is a ban on so-called “assault weapons,” a ban on high capacity” magazinesa ban on firearm suppressorsuniversal background checksextreme risk protection orders, reinstatement of Virginia’s “one-handgun-a-month” law, and more.
 
Please submit comments to the Virginia State Crime Commission opposing all of these gun control proposals. Written comments can be submitted electronically to comments@vscc.virginia.gov, or mailed to the address below.
