NSSF® has been asked by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) to encourage importers to use the eForms system. Due to the current public health crisis, the use of paper submissions are causing significant and growing delays. While the delays for paper submissions may grow to months in length, ATF can process eForms without similar delays. Currently only about 42 percent of importers are using eForms. NSSF would urge your company to transition to eForms if possible to avoid these processing delays.
