Tenn. Designates Firearm & Ammunition Industry 'Essential' During COVID-19

Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee issued Executive Order No. 22 and implemented “Safer at Home” orders to help prevent the further spread of COVID-19. As part of the Order, certain businesses have been deemed “Essential Businesses,” allowing them to remain operational.  
 
NSSF^®  is pleased to report Gov. Lee’s Executive Order incorporates the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security CISA Guidance, which includes firearm manufacturers, distributors, retailers and ranges. Specifically deemed “Essential Businesses” as well, the Order also includes “firearm and ammunition suppliers and retailers for purposes of safety and security.”  
 
NSSF urges all members to closely follow CDC guidelines, practice social distancing and take precautions to protect the health of their employees and customers. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide further updates as they become available.
