Firearm & Ammunition Retailers Can Remain Open After Florida Gov. Issues Executive Order for South Florida Counties

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis issued Executive Order Number 20-89 to help prevent the further spread of COVID-19. The Executive Order restricts “public access to businesses and facilities deemed non-essential pursuant to the guidelines established by Miami-Dade County pursuant to its March 19, 2020 Emergency Order 07-20."

While the original Order does not included firearm and ammunition supply stores as “essential,” the Order was subsequently amended, and Amendment No. 2 does include them.

The Order specifically includes the following south Florida counties: Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Monroe.
