Maryland Firearm Retailers & Ranges Can Remain Open During COVID-19 “Stay at Home” Order

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan recently issued a “Stay at Home” Executive Order to further prevent the spread of COVID-19. This Order states which businesses are “Essential” and may remain open and operating in the state.

NSSF®  is pleased to report Gov. Hogan’s Executive Order incorporates the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security CISA Guidance, which includes firearm manufacturers, distributors, retailers and ranges. With the inclusion of this language, firearm and ammunition product manufacturers, retailers, importers, distributors, and shooting ranges can remain open and operating.

NSSF worked tirelessly for the inclusion of our industry in the newest version of the CISA Guidance. NSSF urges all members to closely follow CDC guidelines, practice social distancing and take precautions to protect the health of their employees and customers. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide further updates as they become available.
