Oregon House Schedules Hearing on Anti-Firearms Bills Join NSSF in voicing your opposition to HB 2005 and HB 2006
On Tuesday March, 22nd, the House Committee on Judiciary will hold a hearing on a bill that would have major impacts on firearm ownership in Oregon if enacted. HB 2006 if enacted would discriminate against 18,19 - and 20-year-old Oregonians by prohibiting them from owning “new model” firearms. Additionally, the committee will hear HB 2005, which bans home-builds and prohibits possession of many firearm accessories due to poorly worded definitions.
NSSF® will strongly oppose these bills and ask you to please join us in attending the hearing and/or contact the following members of the House Judicial Committee and tell them to vote no on HB 2005 and HB 2006.
Date: March 22nd, 2023 Time: 8 a.m. Where: Oregon State Capitol 900 Court St, NE Salem, OR 97301 Room: Hearing Room D
