NSSF^®, the Firearm Industry Trade Association, is in the process of suing the Attorney General of New Jersey for challenging Assembly Bill 1765. In a recent win for the NSSF^® and our industry, the court has granted an injunction preventing the AG from enforcing this law against NSSF members only.

Becoming an NSSF member today can protect you from being sued in New Jersey under its sweeping Assembly Bill 1765 which creates a cause of action for public nuisance applying to gun industry members. Bill 1765 allows the antigun Attorney General to sue those “engaged in the sale, manufacturing, distribution, importing, or marketing of a gun-related product, and any officer, agent, employee, or other person authorized to act on behalf of that person or who acts in active concert or participation with one or more such persons.” This bill also creates liability for any gun industry member who fails to “establish, implement, and enforce reasonable controls regarding its manufacture, sale, distribution, importing, and marketing of gun related products.”
